Quick start: Connectors
Connectors are the resources that contain the connection details needed to connect to a database or a cloud storage bucket.
Follow these instructions to create a new connector. You can share connectors with other MOSTLY AI users by making them public so others can use them to create generators, datasets, and synthetic datasets.
Step 1: Create a connector
-
On the MOSTLY AI platform, open Connectors from the left-side navigation menu.
-
Select the connector template you want to use and provide the connection details. MOSTLY AI offers the following templates:
-
Click Save.
The connector is now available on the Connectors page.
What’s next
You can now use the connector to create a new dataset, train a generator, or explore with the Assistant.
What’s next
After you’ve created a connector, you can use it to train a generator, create a dataset, or generate synthetic data. You can also transfer it to an organization.
Step 2: Share the dataset with your organization
- Open the connector from the Connectors page.
- Click Share in the upper-right corner.
- Select the organization to which to share the resource using the Owner dropdown and click Save.
The connector is now available to all members of your organization and they can use it to create a generator or other artifacts.
What’s next
You can make the connector public so that it is available to all logged-in users in the platform.
Step 3: Make the dataset public
If your connector might be of interest to other users, you can make it public. Be cautious not to share connectors which may allow access to data which contain any sensitive information.
- Open the connector from the Connectors page.
- Click Share.
- Select Public from the Visibility dropdown and click Save.
